Details of the march appeared on Twitter yesterday evening and it has started to gain traction, with the page already having over 600 followers, after just 16 hours active.
Additional details are being finalised, and organisers say they're working with the Capital Pride Alliance, in Washington, to incorporate the march into the 2017 Celebration of Pride in the Nation's Capital.
"In Solidarity!" is the slogan for the march, with the groups Facebook event stating:
"We want to build off of the momentum the strong women in the US and around the world started on January 21st. They set the tone with their leadership and it is our intention as a community to follow their lead and play our part. This will be an ALL inclusive and peaceful event."
Organisers are urging all supporters, friends, and family to decent on DC, not just those who identify as LGBT+, to come and join the march.

This is just the latest in a series of planned marches since Donald Trump took office as President of the United States.
The 'Women's March', which took place the day after the inauguration resulted in millions of people taking to the streets, in a show of solidarity against Trump, whom many see as a threat to women's rights and a threat to minorities.
Meanwhile another protest has been planned for April 15th, to protest against the fact that Donald Trump still has not released his tax returns.
During the campaign the President said he would not release them as they were under audit, and since becoming the 45th POTUS has said even after they're audited, he won't release them, because apparently only reporters (not the wider American public) want to see them.
